Rodney Robbins is the playwright behind the sexy, musical romp "Big Feet, Big Love."

He's the author of the tip booklets "Rodney's 52 Ways to Impress Your Boss--Without Sucking Up!" and "On Life and Living with Chronic Illness."

He also wrote the young adult novel "My Romantic Spell." It's the story of a young witch growing up in modern day Salem, MA.

REAL WORLD EXPERIENCE

Rodney Robbins has been a quality and safety manager for more than 15 years and is a past member of the North Carolina STAR Safety Board. He has also worked in stores, factories, offices and as an award winning corporate video producer.

Rodney was a child prodigy in art and singing. He had his first solo art show in the seventh grade (drawings of hands), and claims, "I can teach anyone who can print their name to draw." He started singing in the Phoenix Boys Choir. As an adult, and sang with in bands and as a soloist and discovered a talent for song writing.

DEALING WITH CHRONIC ILLNESS

Rodney also struggles with two and one half chronic illnesses: nasty migraines (but they come and go, so that counts as the "half"), Periodic Paralysis (a rare muscle disorder) and Celiac Disease (a fairly common auto-immune reaction to eating wheat and other common grains).

Dealing with constant medical problems forced Rodney to focus on the essentials. "With such limited energy, I HAD to focus on doing the basics well," he says, "and it has worked well for me."

BOTTOM LINE

"I believe the key to success with peace of mind is to master the essentials," says Rodney Robbins, "that way you can relax and enjoy everything else."
